Job Summary

Step Down Unit position supporting a 30-bed stepdown setting within the critical care service line. The role provides care for patients requiring advanced respiratory support and management of complex cardiovascular, vascular, infectious, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and postoperative conditions.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with high-flow nasal cannula, bilevel positive airway pressure, stable gastrostomy tube management, postoperative coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement, cardiovascular and vascular care, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, lobectomy, carotid endarterectomy, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, pacemakers, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, post-diabetic ketoacidosis care, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy management.
• Additional Information:
  • 30-bed stepdown unit.
  • Float rotation between critical care service lines.
  • Care may include patients recovering from major cardiac and vascular procedures and those requiring advanced respiratory support.
