Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room. The position supports circulating and scrubbing duties across a broad range of complex surgical cases in an acute-care setting. The role requires proficiency with gynecologic procedures, Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) documentation, and Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical technology.

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours, with variable MondayFriday days and start times of 6:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. One to two call shifts may be scheduled during each four-week period.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active nursing license eligible for submission
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Operating Room circulating experience
  • Scrubbing experience
  • Strong proficiency in gynecologic procedures
  • Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical technology, including gynecologic, urologic, and general procedures
  • Experience with ear, nose, and throat procedures
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience across multiple surgical service lines and case types
  • Experience with complex procedures in gynecology, urology, vascular, plastics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, thoracic, general surgery, sports medicine, transplant, and ear, nose, and throat services
• Additional Information:
  • The operating room department supports approximately 5065 cases per day across up to 26 operating suites.
  • Common procedures include large and complex cases, total hip and knee replacements, transplants, and Da Vinci Xi robotic procedures.
  • Call may include weekday coverage from the end of the shift until 7:00 a.m. and 24-hour weekend coverage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Call response time is 30 minutes, with a call room available.
  • Orientation includes organizational and operating room leadership training, electronic health record training, and unit-based precepting.
  • Teal scrubs are provided, and professional attire must follow Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) standards.
  • The care setting is acute care within a Level III trauma environment.
