Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit This 13-week day-shift assignment supports progressive care and telemetry nursing for patients requiring care at an acuity below intensive care. The Registered Nurse (RN) evaluates patients, develops and documents care plans, administers medications, assists with procedures, and promotes patient and family education.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., three 12-hour shifts per week; minimum 36 hours per week. The assignment runs from 11/24/2026 through 02/23/2027 and includes six weekend shifts during each six-week schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Arizona nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; associate degree; registered nurse certification; at least two years of experience; ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; experience with cardiac drips and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs), Watchman procedures, and MitraClip procedures.
- Additional Information:
- Provides progressive care and telemetry nursing for patients requiring close monitoring below intensive care acuity.
- Evaluates patients and implements, documents, and updates nursing care plans.
- Assists with examinations and procedures, performs patient testing, and administers medications within the registered nurse scope of practice.
- Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
- Any scrub color is acceptable.
