Description
Job Summary
Surgical Technician, Operating Room Specialty, Nashville, Tennessee. This position supports surgical procedures in a comprehensive healthcare setting with a diverse range of specialties, including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, robotic surgery, vascular surgery, urology, and general surgery. The role uses advanced robotic and surgical navigation equipment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary operating room team.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Call shifts may be required as needed, with no more than one call shift per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Surgical Technologist First Assistant or Registered Nurse First Assistant certification
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification
- Surgical experience
- Multi-year Operating Room experience in the current role
- Registered nurses must be licensed in Tennessee or a compact state
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Endovascular experience
- Robotic surgery experience
- Experience with electronic charting systems for registered nurse candidates
- Additional Information:
- Supports neurosurgery, orthopaedic spine surgery, orthopaedics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastics, colorectal surgery, robotic general surgery, general surgery, robotic bariatric surgery, ear, nose, and throat surgery, urology, robotic urology surgery, robotic thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and endovascular surgery.
- Typical operating room staffing includes one registered nurse, one certified surgical technologist, and one first assistant per room.
- The department utilizes robotic surgical systems and advanced surgical navigation technology.
- Navy or ceil blue scrubs are required and are not provided.
- Assignment dates are 11/30/2026 through 03/01/2027.
