Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry. The role coordinates comprehensive nursing care, supports patient and family education, and provides leadership within the clinical setting. The Registered Nurse may float within the scope of practice and may be asked to serve as a backup Charge Nurse.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Two years of recent Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation experience
  • Previous travel assignment experience of at least three months
  • Charge Registered Nurse experience
  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse license or compact license
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Medical-Surgical skills checklist current within one year
  • At least one supervisory-signed professional reference from the past two years of employment
  • Personal vehicle required
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Call participation is required.
  • Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with holiday coverage as needed.
  • The Registered Nurse may float between Acute Rehabilitation, Medical-Surgical units, and other units within the scope of practice.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating total nursing care, participating in patient and family teaching, and collaborating with nursing and ancillary team members to maintain professional nursing standards.
  • Attendance expectations apply, and call-off procedures must be followed.
