Description
Job Summary
Critical Care Nurse Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular Nashville area. This role supports a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care department caring for critically ill adolescent and adult patients with complex cardiac and neurological conditions. Clinical focus areas include cardiothoracic surgery recovery, cardiac transplantation, neurocritical care, and advanced critical care needs, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Active nursing license with license and certificate verification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test.
- Additional Information:
- Fifteen-bed cardiovascular critical care unit.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
- Patient population includes cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, cardiopulmonary arrest recovery, and post-ventricular assist device placement.
- Patients range from adolescents through late adulthood.
- Care is delivered by registered nurses and patient care technicians.
- Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/21/2027.
