Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room Open Heart. Performs independent and delegated nursing functions, assesses and evaluates patient health status, develops and implements nursing care plans, provides patient education and treatment, and coordinates referrals and ongoing therapy. The role supports cardiovascular operating room services and requires participation in scheduled call shifts.
Job Details
- Schedule: 10-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 40 hours per week, with no set day off; cardiovascular operating room call shifts are required.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Additional Information:
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
- Collects and evaluates ongoing patient health data.
- Provides health teaching, health counseling, therapy, and restorative treatment.
- Executes delegated medical functions and refers patients for additional evaluation or treatment when needed.
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Documents care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Cardiovascular operating room Registered Nurses may work in cardiovascular operating rooms and main operating rooms during scheduled call shifts.
