Job Summary
Telemetry Overland Park, Kansas. This nursing assignment supports an adult short-stay clinical decision unit caring for hemodynamically stable patients in observation status. The role requires medical telemetry competency, cardiac monitoring knowledge, and management of patients who may require observation for up to 23 hours.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends.
- Required Qualifications: Active nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; at least 2 years of nursing experience; medical telemetry experience; and understanding of basic dysrhythmias and telemetry.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care in an adult short-stay observation unit for hemodynamically stable patients.
- Performs vital signs monitoring every 48 hours based on patient acuity.
- Provides continuous remote cardiac monitoring.
- Uses bedside shift reporting and structured patient-safety rounding practices.
- May float according to operational needs.
- Assignment dates are 11/09/2026 through 02/08/2027.
