Description
Job Summary
Certified Surgical Technologist, Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technologist. The role supports safe and effective surgical procedures by preparing equipment, instruments, and supplies; maintaining the sterile field; and anticipating procedural needs. The position requires experience with orthopedic, general, and robotic surgery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent; graduation from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience with orthopedic, general, and robotic surgery.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record documentation.
- Additional Information:
- Prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Protects and maintains the sterile field.
- Anticipates procedural needs based on a clear understanding of the surgery being performed.
- Provides patient care within the designated scope of practice and supports identified patient outcomes.
