Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech in Concord, NC. This position supports a high-volume operating room department with a broad range of surgical specialties, including trauma, orthopedics, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecology, robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, urology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, pain management, and plastics. Comprehensive recent experience with complex spine and robotic procedures is required.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Education must be completed through an institute accredited by CAAHEP.
  • Recent and comprehensive experience scrubbing trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joint, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecologic, gynecologic oncology, robotic, general, hepatopancreatobiliary, bariatric, urologic, otolaryngologic, ophthalmic, pain management, and plastic surgery cases.
  • Recent and comprehensive experience with Globus, robotic navigation, anterior lumbar interbody fusion, transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, lateral, posterior, and anterior procedures.
  • Neuro experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Surgical technician certification preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Supports approximately 50 surgical cases per day across 19 operating room suites.
  • Sterile technique proficiency is required.
  • Experience with complex spine and robotic cases should include the frequency and overall duration of performing these procedures.
  • First-time travelers are not accepted.
  • Departmental support includes clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, operating room assistants, unit secretaries, and technical engineers.
  • Scrub attire is provided.
