Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit. The critical care registered nurse provides comprehensive care to patients experiencing life-threatening conditions, including cardiac events, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, advanced life support, medication administration, ventilator management, and collaboration with the critical care team.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered nurse with a California registered nurse license.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Additional Information:
  • Assess patient conditions and implement individualized care plans.
  • Treat wounds and provide advanced life support.
  • Assist with procedures and monitor patient vital signs.
  • Operate and adjust ventilators, monitors, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
  • Administer intravenous fluids and medications.
  • Perform suctioning and respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the critical care team and advocate for patients.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Care for preoperative and postoperative patients as assigned.
  • Assignment is scheduled from 11/30/2026 through 02/01/2027.
