Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit, Los Angeles. Provides coordinated nursing care for assigned patients while applying the nursing process, critical thinking, and independent clinical judgment. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, coordinating care, supervising assigned nursing staff, and promoting safe, effective patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
- Additional Information:
- Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Collects and analyzes patient data to identify diagnoses, care needs, and desired outcomes.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote a safe, healing, and caring environment.
- Provides health education and learning opportunities to patients, families, and team members.
- Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates the activities of healthcare team members.
- Required vaccinations must be received as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.
