Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician, Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) specialty. The role supports surgeons and healthcare team members during cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, robotic, and occasional general procedures. Responsibilities include preparing for and assisting with surgical cases according to established policies and procedures.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Active or pending registration with the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry; proof of application is required within 3 business days of offer acceptance if pending
- Experience in a large hospital with 250 or more beds and a Level II or higher care setting
- Additional Information:
- Performs surgical and operating room duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Supports cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, robotic, and occasional general procedures.
- Primary cardiovascular cases include open-heart procedures, thoracic procedures, and vascular procedures.
- Call coverage includes 1 to 2 shifts per week and every fourth or fifth weekend.
- Extended shifts may be required to assist with scheduled cases.
- May support other operating rooms when cardiovascular case volume is limited.
- Scrub attire is provided in ceil blue.
- Assignment dates are 12/07/2026 through 03/08/2027.
