Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the CVICU at a leading healthcare facility in Rochester, New York. This 12-hour night shift position offers guaranteed 36 hours per week and the opportunity to care for critically ill cardiac patients. You'll work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team providing expert care for patients recovering from advanced cardiac surgeries and managing complex conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, and multi-organ failure. Key responsibilities include arterial and central line management, ventilator care, titration of cardiac drips, and advanced cardiac device management, including ECMO, LVAD, RVAD, IABP, and Impella. Proficiency in EPIC charting is required. You will also manage patients with CVVHD/CRRT and perform duties like dysrhythmia interpretation, chest tube care, and wound vac management. The CVICU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, with occasional 1:1 care based on acuity. Candidates must have an active New York RN license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
