·       Number of Beds: 12 Labor rooms, 2 Operating rooms, 4 bed recovery room, 4 bed OBED

·       Number of Staff: 32 RNS,

·       Type of Staff:  Director, Manager, 6-9 RN, clinical coordinator, Orderly, Nurse Extern, Surgical tech, Unit clerk

o   Day Shift: Director, manager, 6-9 RN’s, clinical coordinator

o   Night Shift: Director, Clinical Coordinator, 5-7 RN’s

·       Patient Ratios - 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 antepartum

·       Type of Equipment: Syringes, lancets, catheters, IV, resuscitators, fetal monitor

·       Documentation System: Centricity, Meditech hospital wide

·       Call Requirements: N/A

Typical Hiring Profile

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

·       BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN

List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):  

·       Monitor both mother and baby, Cesarean Section, Cerclage, pre and post birth, physicals, diagnostics, perform tests on newborns, epidurals, detailed record keeping

·       Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs, follows physician orders, administers medications, monitor vital signs, instructs and educates patients/families, Circulator in OR

Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)

·        Critical Thinker, decisive judgement, empathy, effective patient care experience
