Pittsburgh, PA – Interventional Radiology Tech (IR | Acute Care | Travel Assignment)

• Experience: 1–2+ years recent acute care IR experience
• Systems/Equipment: Fluoroscopy, McKesson PACS

Scope of Role:

• Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided interventional radiology procedures
• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identification and review imaging orders for accuracy
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support
• Scrub and assist during diagnostic and interventional IR procedures
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and report abnormalities
• Operate IV and contrast injector systems safely and effectively
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation safety protocols
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in McKesson PACS
• Maintain patient records and procedural documentation

Must-Have Credentials:

• ARRT (R) certification
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care IR experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• ARRT (VI) or Vascular Interventional certification
• CCI certification
• 2+ years of IR experience

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Experience with fluoroscopy and interventional procedures
• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments
• Excellent patient care and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Capable of bending, lifting, and assisting patients as needed
