Description
Holiday Availability: Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require traveler coverage. Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.
Required Certs:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Required Experience:
Surgical ICU setting
Cardiac monitoring
Central Venous Pressure Monitoring
Post cardiac surgery
Pre/Post cardiac cath intervention
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
IV Therapy (Blood product admin, central line management, PICC line management)
Drip titration
Chest tube insertion & removal - care of ventilated patients
Preferred Experience:
Liver, kidney, pancreas transplant recovery experience is a plus
High acuity ICU
LVAD/RVAD
Heart Transplant recovery
Lung transplant recovery
Weekend Expectation: Every other
Floating: Potentially to other ICUs and SDUs
Epic experience is required
2 years experience required
Unit will not accept 1st time travelers
Patient Ratio: 1:2
