Description

RN – PACU | Torrance, CA 90505

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3x12 hours (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
Experience: 1 year of PACU experience, plus ICU or ED experience
Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of PACU experience
License: Active California RN license required at submission
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Pediatric Experience: Required
Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
Beds: 27
Daily Census: Approximately 60
Floating: Required
Weekend Requirement: Some weekends
Block Scheduling: Not available

Required Skills:

Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery
Postoperative monitoring and pain management
Critical care or ED experience
Airway management and ventilated patient care
Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
IV therapy and emergency medication administration
Pediatric patient management
Experience recovering patients after a variety of surgical procedures
