Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Virginia (VA) license or pending license status
• A Virginia temporary license is acceptable while the permanent license is pending

Submission Requirement: Include the Virginia license or current licensing status in the submission package.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely.
• Verify patient identity, treatment prescription, diagnosis, and treatment area.
• Set up and treat patients using 2D, 3D, and IMRT techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry.
• Participate in brachytherapy procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and immobilization devices.
• Perform treatment imaging and maintain accurate treatment documentation.
• Monitor patients during treatment and report unusual reactions or emergencies.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain accurate billing and treatment records.
• Educate and reassure patients regarding procedures and post-treatment care.

Schedule & Facility Policies

• Weekends: No regular weekend requirement specified.
• Special Schedule: November 22 must be worked; Thursday and Friday off that week.
• On-Call: None
• Floating: Not required
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs or another solid-color matching top and bottom, subject to facility dress code.
