Position Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts with varying start/end times
• Possible Hours: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Weekend: Every other weekend, two 10-hour shifts
• On-call: No
• Floating: No
• Dress Code: Pewter scrubs
• Rate: $135 listed as the new rate; confirm the rate unit with the account manager

Education, License & Certifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred; Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy accepted
• Louisiana pharmacist license required — confirm whether it must be active at submission, as the job text also mentions obtaining licensure within 60 days of starting
• Pharmacy registration in the state of practice
• BLS or ACLS through AHA
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Required Skills & Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and dispense medication orders
• Review medication records and maintain accurate documentation
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications
• Handle chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products
• Monitor drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and dosage appropriateness
• Support pharmacokinetics and renal dose adjustments
• Provide medication education to patients and healthcare staff
• Participate in antibiotic stewardship, opioid stewardship, and medication-use reviews
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify their daily activities
• Support anticoagulation management and medication reconciliation when assigned
