Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage centralized telemetry monitoring
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and titration of cardiac medications
• Must pass the required Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam before position acceptance

Unit & Clinical Details

• Unit Size: 32 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:3–4
• Patient Population: Ages 15 and older; no pediatrics
• Common Cases: Post-cardiac catheterization, post-vascular procedures, day-two CABG patients, and general telemetry
• Medications: Amiodarone (Amio), Cardene, nitroglycerin (Nitro), heparin, and dobutamine (titrate down only)
• Vents: None
• Charge Nurse: No patient assignment
• Support Staff: PCTs, approximately 1 per 16 patients
