Description
Cardiac Cath Lab RN – Travel | Bryan, TX (Days)
Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 4 Cath Labs (3 typically running)
Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts starting at 0600/0630, plus call (40 hrs/week guaranteed)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: 11/16
About the Assignment:
- 5–7 cases per day minimum, up to 15
- Cases include cardiac, EP (ICDs, pacemakers, ablations for A-flutter, SVT, and A-fib), peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization. No IR/specials.
- RN role: circulating and monitoring. Team of 3 per case (circulating RN, scrub tech, monitor). RCIS/RT techs scrub.
- GE MacLab/Combo Lab hemodynamic monitoring
- Call: about 10–11 days per month, including 1 weekend, with a 30-minute response time
- Floats between the Bryan (home base) and College Station campuses
- 3-day unit orientation, independent by end of week 1, weekend call starting week 2
- Meditech charting
- College-town feel, right next to Texas A&M
Requirements:
- Cath Lab experience with strong circulating skills
- ADN or BSN (BSN not required)
- Active RN license at submission (TX or compact)
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
