Interventional Radiology Technologist – Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
 

Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours
Schedule: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with a rotating day off
Contract: 13 weeks
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology
Daily Census: 20–40 patients
Procedure Rooms: 8
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Charting System: Epic required; experience preferred in the initial job description
Equipment: Siemens

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• ARRT
• BLS
• ACLS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment
• Interventional Radiology procedures
• Experience with vascular access, angiography, biopsies, embolization, drains, stent placement, and other IR procedures
• Epic experience preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS

• C-arm experience
• Biopsy experience
• Community hospital experience
• Level I Trauma experience

CALL REQUIREMENTS

• One primary weekday call and one backup weekday call per month
• One weekend of call every 6 weeks, alternating between primary and backup

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

• Highly skilled multidisciplinary team of physicians, technologists, nurses, and advanced practice providers
• Interventional procedures only
• No Cath Lab, EP, Neuro, or Hybrid OR procedures
• Normal department business hours are approximately 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
