Position: RN – ER
Location: San Bernardino, CA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12 hour Mids, EOW, first to float | 36 hrs/week

Pay Package (36 hrs): 
Total Weekly Gross: $2500/week 
Non-Taxable Stipend: $1450/week 
Taxable (W2): 
Regular: $25/hr × 24 hrs = $600
Overtime: $37.5hr × 12 hrs = $450

Start Date: December 7 only (December orientation only)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• Trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart

Unit Details:

• 24-bed Emergency Department
• Approximately 250 patient visits per day
• Patient ratios: 2:1 / 4:1
• Fast track available, but travelers typically work in the main ER
• No inpatient pediatric or behavioral health unit
• STEMI receiving facility; common cases include cardiac emergencies, sepsis, strokes, DKA, and ETOH-related conditions

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
• Additional start times: 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM
• Must be flexible with shifts
• Every other weekend required, with the possibility of every weekend depending on staffing
• Holiday coverage required
• No floating

Additional Information:

• Charge nurse available and does not take patients
• ER technicians assist with technical duties and patient observation
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• Phlebotomists handle lab draws unless a central line is involved
• One day of unit-specific orientation
• RN scrub color: Blue
