Description
Job Description: PCU Registered Nurse – 6th Floor
Location: PCU, 6th Floor
Unit Type: Stepdown / Acute Care
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7 PM–7 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of nursing experience to provide high-quality care to patients in a busy 32-bed progressive care unit. Patient populations include cardiac conditions, stroke, CHF, renal failure, respiratory distress, DKA, and post-cardiac procedures.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (submission may be considered while awaiting licensure)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- BSN not required
- 12 hours of unit-specific orientation
Additional Details:
Patient ratios are typically 1:3–4. Weekend and holiday shifts are based on unit needs. Floating may be required. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover and adhere to attendance policies.
