Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice

Shift: 12-hour nights
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of prior hospice experience.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• CHPN certification verification listed.
• Excellent typing skills required due to extensive narrative documentation in the EMR.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and end-of-life care.
• Assess and manage complex symptoms.
• Educate patients and families about symptom management and care.
• Participate in goals-of-care discussions and care planning.
• Administer medications through multiple routes, including IV, subcutaneous, oral, sublingual, and rectal.
• Use critical thinking to support comfort-focused patient care.

Additional Requirements

• No floating required.
• No block scheduling allowed.
• All employment gaps longer than 90 days must be explained.
• Complete work history is required, including facility type, bed count, and EMR.
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended; public transportation is not accessible.
• All-season or snow tires are recommended from November through April.
