MRI Technologist 

Facility: Grant Medical Center – OhioHealth
Location: Columbus, Ohio
 

Job Details

• Position: MRI Technologist
• Shift: Nights, 4 × 9.5-hour shifts
• Schedule: 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Weekend: Every 3rd weekend (facility notes also mention every other weekend; confirm the actual requirement)
• Call: 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks
• Experience: 2 years preferred; candidates with 1.5 years may be considered with strong Level I/large hospital experience
• Start Date: 11/09/2026
• RTO: Maximum 10 days per contract; no RTO during initial weeks
• COVID Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Unknown

Required Qualifications

• Active ARRT certification or NMTCB certification
• BLS certification
• At least 2 years of MRI experience preferred
• Experience using Siemens MRI scanners
• Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio
• EPIC experience is required per facility submission notes

Preferred Skills

• Cardiac imaging experience
• IV starts
• Level I trauma or large hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
• Travel experience is not explicitly required

Clinical Responsibilities and Equipment

• Operates two Siemens 1.5T Aera MRI scanners.
• Performs neurological, musculoskeletal (MSK), and abdominal MRI scans.
• Handles specialized breast MRI and enterography exams.
• Scans patients with pacemakers.
• Scans ICU patients using MRI-safe monitoring equipment and ventilators when needed.
• No conscious sedation performed at the facility.

Important Submission Requirements

• Candidate must be pre-closed before submission.
• SSN and DOB must be on file at submission.
• Available start date, RTO, and schedule requests must be included.
• References are not required.
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing.
• EKG/dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing.
• Approximately 12 hours of non-billable modules must be completed before starting.
