Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Shift: Days, 8-hour shift
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
Orientation Pay: 50%

Radius Rule: Must be 50 miles away from the facility 
 

Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate.

Please note that this is a long-term assignment. On-call is required, and nurses may be asked to float to other similar units as needed.

Position Overview 

McLeod Health Clarendon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality perioperative care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in patient assessment, implementing nursing interventions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities 

• Assess patients using medical history, observations, physical examinations, and diagnostic data.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and professional standards.
• Promote a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Follow health and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Maintain nursing quality standards and follow established procedures.
• Support the professional development of new employees through mentoring and precepting.
• Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives and departmental improvement efforts.
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and goal setting.
• Float to other similar units as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification/Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Operating Room nursing experience required; minimum years of experience to be confirmed.
• Strong patient assessment and perioperative nursing skills.
• Knowledge of patient safety standards and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Ability to work day shifts and participate in on-call coverage.
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed.
