Description
Position: Acute Care / Inpatient Rehabilitation
Location: North Carolina
Schedule: Day Shift, 5×8 hours
Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
Start Date: November 9, 2026 (ASAP start requested)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Minimum Experience: 1 year
License: Active North Carolina license required; pending license accepted
Certification: BLS
Orientation: 40 hours
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced healthcare professional for an Acute Care / Inpatient Rehabilitation position. The clinician may be assigned to either department based on facility volume.
Responsibilities include patient care, rehabilitation support, patient and family education, and assisting adults and geriatric patients with recovery and mobility.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Acute Care and/or Inpatient Rehabilitation experience
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Knowledge of post-operative cervical and spinal surgery, shoulder repair, total hip and knee replacement
- Familiarity with stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions
- Patient and family education
- Home exercise program knowledge
- Body mechanics and mobility assistance
- BLS certification
Additional Requirements:
- Must hold an NC license; pending license is accepted.
- Candidates residing in Moore County are not eligible for travel assignments.
- Previous employees of FirstHealth must have been separated from employment for at least one year to be considered for a contract position.
- Requested time off (RTO) must be included at submission.
- HSS Cover Sheet is required.
- Facility drug screening is conducted upon arrival, in addition to credentialing requirements.
- Pre-start learning modules are required and are non-billable.
Weekend Requirement: Tuesday–Saturday schedule, including Saturday coverage.
Hours: 40 hours per week based on the 5×8 schedule.
