MRI Technologist

Position Type: Travel and Local Candidates Accepted
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Shift: Three 12-hour shifts
On-Call: Every other Monday, 6:00 PM–5:30 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. This opportunity is open to both travel and local candidates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories and physician orders to determine appropriate MRI procedures.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and answer questions to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, medical devices, and other contraindications.
• Prepare patients and imaging equipment for examinations.
• Position patients appropriately and perform MRI scans according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes in their condition.
• Evaluate image quality and repeat or adjust scans when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate imaging results according to department procedures.
• Follow MRI safety standards, infection control practices, and quality assurance protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• Three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday.
• Regular shift hours: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.
• On-call coverage every other Monday from 6:00 PM–5:30 AM.
• Must be available to meet all scheduled shift and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI Technologist experience.
• Appropriate MRI certification and state licensure, if required.
• Current BLS certification, if required by the facility.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
