Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM availability required
Start Times: 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: No Saturdays
Interview: Required

Position Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations within an assigned specialty to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. The technologist evaluates patient histories, adapts examination techniques to individual clinical needs, and communicates relevant findings to physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic sonography examinations within the assigned ultrasound specialty.
• Review patient medical histories and conduct clinical assessments before examinations.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure quality imaging.
• Analyze sonographic images and differentiate normal findings from potential abnormalities.
• Communicate findings to the appropriate physician and provide preliminary reports when required.
• Adapt examination procedures based on anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout procedures.
• Educate patients and healthcare professionals regarding ultrasound procedures as appropriate.
• Clean, prepare, and restock examination rooms and equipment.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate necessary repairs or service.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and research projects as assigned.
• Assist with training and orienting new employees and students.
• Maintain continuing education requirements to keep professional credentials current.
• Coordinate with the clinical coordinator or manager to ensure appropriate workload coverage.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent ultrasound experience.
• Current ARDMS credential required at the time of submission, as specified by the facility.
• Relevant registry credential, such as RVS, RVT, RDMS, RCS, or RDCS, appropriate to the specialty.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks independently and respond calmly during emergencies.
• Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment in accordance with the position's physical requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, with a start time of 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM.
• No Saturday shifts are required.
