Facility: Central Vermont Medical Center
Location: Berlin, VT
Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening)
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Facility Size: 100 beds
EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
Floating: Required within the facility and applicable departments
Schedule: Must be flexible with 8- or 9-hour shifts as needed
Weekend Requirement: On-call rotation, typically every 4th–5th weekend, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Call Requirement: Yes, depending on departmental needs
Holiday Requirement: All holidays; on-call coverage may be required
 

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• Ultrasound Technologist Certification Verification (equivalency)
• RVT certification and ARDMS (OB) credentials, depending on the candidate's specialty
• Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum 2 years of unit experience
• General ultrasound experience with vascular experience required

Accepted Candidate Profiles:

• General Sonographer with vascular experience and RVT certification
• General Sonographer with OB/GYN experience for the women's clinic; RVT may not be required for this pathway

Clinical Responsibilities

• General ultrasound examinations
• Vascular ultrasound studies
• OB/GYN ultrasound, depending on experience and assignment
• Contrast injections where applicable to the assigned modality
• Floating to other radiology areas and supporting procedures as required

Equipment

• 2 GE LOGIQ E10 ultrasound systems
• 2 Samsung WS80A ultrasound systems
• Additional facility imaging equipment includes X-ray, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography, and C-arms

Facility & Department Information

• Community-based hospital
• Approximately 40+ staff across the department
• Routine imaging examinations are commonly performed
• Public transportation is not accessible; reliable personal transportation or a rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• All-season or snow tires are recommended from November through April
