Location: Morristown, NJ
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 hours per week
Job Description
Seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) for Labor & Delivery. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a high-acuity L&D unit, manage high-risk pregnancies, and provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maternal assessments and monitor fetal well-being.
- Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Care for patients experiencing high-risk pregnancies.
- Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, care plans, and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Follow patient safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
- Active RN license valid for practice in New Jersey.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN or BSN.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Experience caring for high-acuity patients and high-risk pregnancies is required.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and emergency response skills.
Additional Details
- Must be comfortable working in a high-risk, high-census Labor & Delivery environment.
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements should be confirmed with the facility.
Note: Submit candidates with strong high-acuity Labor & Delivery experience and a background in managing high-risk pregnancies.
