X-Ray Tech – Job Details

Position: X-Ray Technologist
Department: Radiology – General X-Ray
Setting: Acute Care
Shift: 8-hour day/evening shifts; occasional night shift may be required
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend at BMH; every 4th weekend at CH
Holiday Requirement: As scheduled
Orientation: Typically 1 week
Cancellation Policy: 2 shifts per 13-week period

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Active license required at submission
• Experience with general X-ray imaging
• Ability to perform emergency, routine outpatient, inpatient, and OR imaging

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general X-ray imaging for emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and operating room patients.
• Operate radiology equipment, including C-arms and portable X-ray machines.
• Perform imaging procedures according to department protocols.
• Maintain patient safety and image quality.
• Work varied day and evening shifts, with occasional night shifts.
• Work scheduled weekends and holidays.

• PACS: Philips PACS
• Equipment: Canon, Shimadzu, Siemens, GE, OEC, Dell
• Additional Equipment: C-arms and portable X-ray machines
