Job Description: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Specialty: Outpatient / Ambulatory Care

Position Summary:

Redbird Smith Health Center is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support in an outpatient clinic setting. The selected candidate will assist with patient assessments, administer injections, perform EKGs and diabetic foot examinations, support well-woman exams, reconcile medications, and communicate test results to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and document patients’ vital signs.
• Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SubQ) injections as prescribed.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories.
• Perform EKGs and assist with related clinical procedures.
• Conduct diabetic foot examinations.
• Assist providers with well-woman examinations and birth control device procedures.
• Perform medication reconciliation and maintain accurate medication records.
• Apply splints as needed.
• Contact patients to communicate test results and provide follow-up information as directed.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow clinic policies and procedures.
• Support providers and other clinical staff in delivering safe, efficient patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Oklahoma LPN license or eligible multistate LPN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, primary care, family practice, or ambulatory care setting.
• Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience.
• Experience with injections, EKGs, diabetic foot examinations, medication reconciliation, and patient follow-up.

Submission Requirements:

• Supervisory references from within the past 12 months.
• Skills checklist completed within the past 12 months.
• Verification of required nursing license and certifications.
