Description:
Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies. This position is represented by OFNHP.
Requirements:
12/14 start/This is 30/hr per wk shift (10hrs x 3)60 Hours every 2 weeks + call (weekday and weekends) Candidate must be certified, have min. 3 years' experience, with c-section, robot, and ortho trauma experience, and be willing to take call (20 min. response time.)
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Accredited surgical technology program: Required
- Associate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Scrub technician experience: Preferred
- Operating room experience and/or training course: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Surgery Technician certification: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR: Required
