RN – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health

Schedule

• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required across four inpatient psychiatric units of equivalent or lower acuity
• EMR: Epic
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Flu Vaccine: Required; medical exemptions only

   

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health experience.
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including:
  • Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder
  • Bipolar disorder, mania, and psychotic disorders
  • Suicidal ideation, major depressive disorder, and anxiety
  • Dementia with behavioral disturbances
  • Substance use and chemical dependency
• Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavior management, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to manage aggressive behavior and follow restraint and seclusion protocols.
• Experience with psychiatric medication administration, suicide precautions, and patient safety.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Patient Ratio: 1:6.

Required Documents / Certifications

1. Active RN license — valid compact or Ohio state license required at submission.
2. BLS.
3. ACLS.
4. CPI.
5. Aegis training/certification, as specified in the posting.
6. Epic experience.
