RN - PCU

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Orientation start dates (2026): November 16 or December 7. Travelers must start on one of these dates.
Travel eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more away to be considered for travel.

Assignment Details

Unit: Neuro Progressive Care Unit, 5th floor
Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Openings: 1
Beds: 20
Patient ratio: 5:1
Patient population: Adult and geriatric
Call requirement: Not required
Specialty focus: PCU, neuro medical strokes, neuro-ortho surgeries, overflow telemetry and medical patients
Float scope: Medical and telemetry units

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
2 years of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Neuro PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience
