Assignment Highlights

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Schedule options: Three 12-hour or four 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly
• Expected hours: 84 hours biweekly
• Unit: 23-bed Progressive Care Unit

About the Unit

The PCU cares for high-acuity cardiac and stroke patients. Nurses should be comfortable managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and Cardizem. Floating to other PCUs may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Strong PCU, progressive care, or stepdown experience
• Cardiac monitoring and cardiac/vasoactive drip management experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• RN license in hand before the assignment start date
• Epic experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Required flu vaccination; limited medical or religious exemptions may be considered

• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Strong cardiac, PCU/stepdown, and drip-titration skills are essential.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Epic experience is preferred.
• Flu vaccination is required; medical or religious exemptions are subject to facility policy.
• Floating to other PCUs may be required.
• Include all requested time off with submission.
• The facility will not accept requested time off spanning all holidays.
• Confirm the Texas RN license requirement and current license status before submission.
