We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical night-shift position in Colorado. The RN will provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-operative needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring clinical status, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify changes requiring prompt intervention.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and prescribed treatments safely.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatment and communicate concerns to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as applicable to the unit.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety and quality-of-care standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Respond appropriately to urgent clinical situations and escalate concerns when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in the State of Colorado.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required upon hire or within six months, as specified by the employer.
• Ability to provide safe and effective nursing care in a Medical-Surgical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Specialty certification relevant to the assigned clinical area.
• Strong patient assessment, medication administration, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work night shifts in a hospital environment.
