$56–$65 per Hour | Part-Time | School-Based
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in a charter school setting in the Dearborn, MI area. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to help students develop essential motor, sensory, and functional skills to succeed academically and independently.
Position Details
- Location: Dearborn, MI
- Pay Rate: $56–$65 per hour
- Schedule: Part-time, flexible scheduling
- Hours: 16 hours per week to start
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing assignment, no predetermined end date
- Setting: In-person, school-based, charter school
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental and educational needs.
- Conduct evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory, and functional skills.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Support students with handwriting, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary special education teams.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
- Experience with IEPs and special education services preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs.
