$37–$43 per Hour | Full-Time | School-Based
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in the Shelton, WA area for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity involves working with students from 5th grade through transition programs (up to age 22), helping them develop essential motor, sensory, and functional skills to succeed in school and everyday life.
Position Details
- Location: Shelton, WA
- Pay Rate: $37–$43 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 hours per day
- Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 18, 2027
- Caseload: 5th Grade through Transition Program (up to age 22)
- Setting: In-person, school-based
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional independence.
- Assist students in developing daily living and transition-related skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary special education teams.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Recommend classroom strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment in collaboration with the supervising OT.
Qualifications
- Active Washington State COTA license required.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
- Experience supporting students with special education and transition needs is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for helping students develop independence and functional skills.
