PediaStaff is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for multiple school-based opportunities in the Killeen, Texas area! We are hiring teachers for self-contained classrooms, behavioral support programs, and functional skills classrooms.

These positions offer the opportunity to support students with diverse learning, developmental, and behavioral needs in collaborative school environments.

Position Details

• Location: Killeen, TX
• Local Pay Rate: $50 per hour
• Travel Pay: Please inquire about travel rates and packages.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, following the school calendar
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 27, 2027
• Setting: In-person, school-based
• Available Positions: Self-Contained, Behavior, and Skills Special Education Teachers
• School Year: 2026–2027

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum, lessons, and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Create structured, supportive classroom environments that promote learning and independence.
• Implement positive behavior supports and individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational documentation.
• Support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional skill development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education or a related field required.
• Active Texas teaching certificate with Special Education EC–12 certification required.
• Must also hold EC–6 Core Subjects or 4–8 Generalist certification.
• Experience in self-contained, behavioral, or functional skills classrooms preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for supporting students with special education needs.
