School-Based Occupational Therapist (OTR) – Oswego, IL

$53–$62+ per Hour | Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!

PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OTR) for a full-time school-based opportunity in the Oswego, Illinois area! This position supports students in a therapeutic behavioral academy and young adults in a transition program, all within the same building.

Position Details

• Location: Oswego, IL
• Pay Rate: $53–$62+ per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 28, 2027
• Setting: In-person, therapeutic school and transition program
• Student Population: K–12 students and transition students ages 18–21
• Service Delivery: Direct and consultative OT services, including individual and small-group sessions
• School Locations: Both programs are housed in the same building

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental, sensory, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct evaluations and three-year reevaluations.
• Complete annual reviews and contribute to IEP development.
• Deliver individualized and small-group occupational therapy interventions.
• Support students with fine motor skills, sensory regulation, daily living skills, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary special education teams.
• Support transition-aged students in developing functional and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and evaluation records.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required.
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Experience in therapeutic, behavioral, or transition programs is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students across a wide range of ages and support needs.
