X-Ray Technologist – Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 5×8 hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care
Bed Count: 400
Charting System: Cerner
Weekly Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (confirm exact schedule with the facility)
 

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience; 18 months may be accepted depending on facility approval.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Indiana license must be in hand before the start date.
• Indiana license pending candidates may be submitted.
• Travel experience: Not specifically required.
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred.
• Two supervisor references required.
• Experience with outpatient imaging and fluoroscopy preferred.

Clinical Responsibilities & Skills

• Routine X-ray and diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adult and pediatric outpatient imaging.
• Portable and bedside X-rays.
• C-arm procedures.
• Fluoroscopy, including modified barium swallow studies and urodynamics.
• Contrast administration and preparation.
• Emergency department and trauma imaging.
• Operating room imaging.
• Abdomen, chest, spine, pelvis, extremity, and skull imaging.
• Radiation safety and infection prevention.
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance.
• PACS experience.

• Approximately 30–75 patients per day per technologist, working alongside another technologist.
