Job Description
Providence is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk, high-volume unit in Seattle. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing high-acuity obstetric cases, working in a fast-paced environment, circulating in the OR, and providing newborn care during and immediately after delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- Epic experience required
- Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Must be able to circulate in the OR
- Must provide newborn care, including assessments, eye care, and vitamin K injections
Unit Highlights
- 31 L&D rooms/beds
- 4 operating rooms
- Average daily census: 15
- Approximately 500–600 deliveries per month
- Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
Schedule & Floating
- Every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Schedule posted every 6 weeks based on unit needs
- Floating required to Postpartum/Antepartum and potentially sister facilities with Mother/Baby units
- Pre-approved time off considered case by case
Certifications
- Required: BLS, NRP
- Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
