Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) ICU

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Active, valid Pennsylvania RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• Recent ICU and EPIC experience required
• Must complete all required background screenings and clearances before starting
• Travel candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility
• Local rate: $55.80 (per listing; confirm applicable rate details)

Unit Details

• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Number of Beds: 4
• Trauma Level: IV
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• Patient Ratio: 1:4, depending on patient condition
• EHR/Charting System: EPIC
• Equipment: Ventilators, IABP support (Cath Lab remains on-site), arterial lines, and CPAP
• Floating: May float to Med-Surg if the ICU is closed for the shift

• Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
• STEMI
• Cerebrovascular accident (CVA)
• Respiratory failure

Pennsylvania Compliance Requirements

All required clearances and fingerprints must be completed before the candidate can be cleared to start.

• Child Abuse History Clearance: Apply through the official Pennsylvania COMPASS portal.
• DHS Fingerprinting: Schedule through IDEMIA using Service Code 1KG756.
• FBI/Department of Aging Fingerprinting: Prints completed within the last two years are accepted. If new prints are required, use Service Code 1KG8RJ and Facility Code 5129.
• PA State Police Clearance (PATCH): Employment clearance is required; volunteer clearances are not accepted.

Candidates are responsible for applicable fingerprinting fees. Fingerprints must be submitted before clearance.
