Description
Position: Inpatient Pharmacist
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: Posting lists 4x10-hour shifts (9:00 AM–7:00 PM), but the detailed schedule says Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD degree.
- Active North Carolina pharmacist license, or license at least pending with a clear expected approval date.
- At least 1 year of pharmacist experience.
- Recent Epic experience is required.
- A multistate license is required according to the submission instructions; confirm how this applies to a North Carolina pharmacist.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with pharmacist-to-dose protocols.
- Experience with other pharmacy software systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders for allergies, drug interactions, disease-state interactions, and appropriate therapy.
- Reconcile patients’ home medications with medication reconciliation reports.
- Use pharmacist-to-dose consults.
- Consult with physicians, residents, and other healthcare team members when needed.
- Check IV admixtures for accuracy and patient safety.
- Ensure IV admixtures follow USP 797/800 guidelines.
- Provide support and customer service to healthcare teammates by phone and in person.
