**LA County has a 1-month credentialing process. All credentialing documents are due 2 weeks before the start date**

• 16-week contract
• Shift: Days
  • 0600-1430
  • 5x8's (40 hours)
• Candidates for these assignments are required to work every other weekend.
• Patient ratios (if known): Within Guidelines of CA State Law
• Is RTO Accepted? What is the Max: None Preferred
• On Call Requirement? NO
• Certs: BLS, MAB or CPI, Fire Card, Life Safety Card (Must be LA City)
  • Must complete LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to assignment start date.
• License: Active CA RN License
  • If CA License is expired, it will need to be renewed
  • If applying for CA License, please contact the Senators office to expediate the application.

Experience:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in one or more of the following:
  • Psychiatric/Behavioral Health
  • Medical-Surgical
  • Correctional Health
  • Emergency Room (ER)
• Must be proficient in passing meds and blood draws
  • Please verify with candidates accepted for this position are comfortable with these skills and schedule requirements
• Must be able to work independently, make quick clinical decisions, and remain flexible in a fast-changing environment.
• Experience working in a detention center and/or other secured environment such as in a locked facility in behavioral health unit and/or a jail is preferred
• Assignments will be offered at a Weekly rate/ 16 weeks,  hiring manager  requires recent (1-2 years) either  Med surg, ER,  some Psych , or Correctional health staff must be comfortable with blood draws and assessments skills /triage.
• Travel experience is preferred, however is not required
• Will accept local travelers
