PCU RN – Job Breakdown

Specialty- PCU RN

Facility Type- Acute Care Hospital

Trauma Level- Level III

Timings- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Staffed Beds- 149

Patient Ratio- 1:4–5

Weekend- Weekend rotation

Local Candidates- Not accepted

First-Time Travelers- Accepted

Charting- Meditech experience required

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• IV start experience.
• ACLS and BLS.
• Active RN license; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Meditech experience.
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.

Important Scheduling Details

• 4×12-hour day shifts, 7 AM–7 PM.
• Weekend rotation required.
• Some holiday coverage is expected.
• No on-call requirement.
• RTO must be approved and documented before the assignment starts.
• Keep RTO to a minimum, especially during the first two weeks.
• No block scheduling beyond 3–4 shifts.

Submission & Compliance Requirements

• Candidate must visit the lab within 24 hours after signing.
• Only QuantiFERON Gold (QGold) is accepted for TB screening.
• Negative 13-panel drug screen within 30 days is required.
• Candidate's RTO must be approved and documented before the start date.
• All RN candidates must be willing to float if another unit is short-staffed.
